Jenifer Dick & Trisch Price of Everyday Stitches

Jenifer and Trisch met at quilt guild about 2000. Both were busy raising children and making quilts at the time. Fifteen years later, after each won quilting awards, wrote books and began speaking at guilds, they joined forces to create Everyday Stitches – a pattern company specializing in quality patterns that reflect their own style and personality. With Trisch’s software engineering background and Jenifer’s editorial experience, the perfect partnership was formed.

Jane Bromberg

I am a quilt designer, teacher and lecturer who loves to teach and inspire other quilt enthusiasts to develop their own creativity.  Besides designing pieced quilt tops, I create original designs using photos that I take of whatever catches my eye.   I like to make the edges of my quilts just as interesting as the tops by using unique bindings and edge finishes. I have had quilts in national AQS shows, Quiltcon, on the cover of Quilt Moderne magazine, and in traveling regional SAQA exhibits.  (www.janebrombergquilts.com)

Karen Kaczor

My husband and I moved to Missouri in 2014 from my home state of Ohio. Soon after completing the remodel of our farm house, I began teaching myself to piece and quilt on my domestic machine and started to develop a customer base. I took employment at one of the local quilt shops where I began to learn long arm quilting. Soon thereafter, I bought my own long arm and began Hawthorne Custom Quilts. I love the art of quilting and enjoy teaching others.

WORKSHOP - MOCK MOLAS - a traditional art modified and made in felt

WORKSHOP - MOCK MOLAS - a traditional art modified and made in felt

Spend the afternoon with us as Alice Ridge teaches us a way to make a modified version of a traditional mola.

From Alice: “Have you looked at the beautiful Molas from Panama and gone green with envy?  I have!  I love the look of Traditional Molas, with all the layers of colored fabrics and fancy stitches!

“I thought that I would make one myself, but then really turned green when I realized how much detail work and teeny tiny stitches were involved!

“So, I created this class to modify the Traditional Mola by using Felt to make a project that keeps the style and colors of the original, but is so much easier and faster!

“This is a hand work class, but it is easy and relaxing to do.

“I hope you enjoy these Molas as much as I do!”

A kit is required for this class. It will available from the instructor on the class day for $30.

KIM ENRIQUEZ - August Guild Meeting Speaker

Kim’s sewing and now quilting journey began when she was just a girl and her mother (Donna Bogue, long-time QGGKC member!) taught her how to sew first by making doll clothes, then her own garments, and finally quilting and machine embroidery. Kim’s interests have expanded as she has transitioned through life. As her children left the house, she turned to quilting and also took up machine embroidery in the last six years. Kim’s passions include both stitching out and teaching Kimberbell machine embroidery projects as well as other machine embroidery designs/designers. She loves to piece quilts, with Lori Holt and other designers being her current go-to projects, and loves to see all the new fabics and patterns on the market. Kim is excited to share her Kimberbell journey with us.
